Kitchen Upgrade: Board member Tyler Jensen helps put new compressors under the Lodge for the kitchen cooler and freezer, part of our Kitchen Upgrade Project that included installation of a fire extinguisher system in the hood over the kitchen ranges. Special thanks for grants supporting the upgrade from the Muryl and Lu Myhre Foundation (Sioux Falls, SD), the Saint Paul Lutheran Church Foundation (Fairfield, MT), and the Good Shepherd Trust (Billings, MT) |
![]() DD Camp: Christikon staff member James Lewis provides some music for the Carnival during the session for developmentally disabled adults. Every summer between 45 and 60 campers ranging in age from 19 to 67 join us at Christikon for a time of caring, re-creation and growth. Over the years, some of our summer staff have found their vocation in life in part because of their service during this special camp session. |

Sartorial Splendor in Patchwork: Summer staff help celebrate (and model) the twenty-plus patchwork shirts made by Jo Larsen of Roundup (back row center) for pastor/director Bob Quam (back row far right). Jo made the first ones in the early 1980's (three of her children were staff members during that decade), and has continued to produce new shirts from time to time in the intervening years. Jo and her husband, Ernie (formerly a pastor in Roundup and a Christikon Board member) and their kids and grand-kids all took part in the first Mountain Weekend camp session for families and adults during the summer of 2009. |
